Tempsford Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
Update
Fundraising for next year's Tempsford Diamond Jubilee Celebrations are fully under way and we are doing well.
Our first fundraising event was held in April and raised £327.55, this coupled with some generous donations mentioned in the last Tempsford Times, gave us a healthy start towards our goal of £3000.
Since the last edition of the Tempsford Times we have had two more generous donations and raised another £180 approximately from the Tempsford Quick Quiz.
Firstly a big thank you to Mr Tazi Hussein of Mill Lane and Mr & Mrs Jim Sawford of Church End for their very generous donations towards the funds. Secondly, a big thank you to everyone who took part in the Tempsford Quick Quiz. We hope taking part was a bit of fun for all the family, as well as helping you all to become more informed about your village and its history.
Sadly we only had ten people return their sheets for marking, so the results are as follow:

Therefore, the winners of the £25.00 prize were Dan and Paulina Clark of Station Road. Well done to them. Thanks also to Dan and Paulina who generously donated their prize money to the funds.
Our next fundraising event will be an afternoon Cream Tea, at the Stuart Memorial Hall on Sunday 31 st July 2011 from 3pm till 5.00pm. More details will be posted here on www.tempsford.org, and via a newsletter through your doors nearer the time.
A few tickets for the Safari Supper on Saturday 20th August 2011, are still available, so be quick if you would like to enjoy this gastronomic evening of food and fun. Tickets are £15.00 per person or £25.00 per couple and will include a three course meal and wine. This will be a fun evening with lots of food, drink and laughter, so don’t miss out. Thank you to everyone for supporting our fundraising efforts, the total raised so far is approximately £850.
